The Acutes

The Acutes (Sun)
Leeds | Bad Sneakers
MYSPACE

The Acutes are David Kitchen & Matthew Shallcross. David plays guitar & sings. Matthew plays the drums. They play loudly & precisely. Originally from Liverpool and now based in Leeds, The Acutes have a classic pop song writing sensibility - they love great music & write great songs. They released debut single "When I Left Work Today" in September 2006 and 2nd single "Set On You" in April 2007, both on Bad Sneakers Records. The band split up in late 2007 only to be re-born in October 2009 with a brand new set of songs and a brand new attitude towards writing songs and playing gigs less regularly, making their performance at British Wildlife Festival all the more special.
